Case study, First Abu Dhabi Bank
Banking at scale, for millions of users.
As Senior Product Designer at First Abu Dhabi Bank, I designed core mobile journeys for the UAE's largest bank, new-customer onboarding, a unified application status tracker, and the credit-card application, across conventional and Islamic variants, on iOS and Android, in English and Arabic.

Overview
Designing where complexity is highest
My work at FAB lives in regulated finance: multi-product flows, identity and KYC, eligibility logic, and bilingual compliance, all shipped to over a million active customers. The brief across projects was consistent: absorb the complexity so the customer never feels it.
The work spans three core surfaces, each measurable and live in the FAB Mobile app:
This work is confidential
I'm still shipping at the bank and this work is under NDA, so I keep the screens off the public site rather than show a thinner version. The full case studies (multi-product onboarding, the application status tracker, and the credit-card rebuild) are available in a private walkthrough on request.
01
Multi-Product Onboarding
The UAE's first digital flow letting a new customer open a current account, savings and a credit card in one session. 62% completed all three; live to 1M+ users. Principle: "ask once."
02
Application Status Tracker
One unified tracker replacing four fragmented surfaces, every product, applicant type and decision path in a single 5-stage state model. Cut inbound support calls.
03
Credit Card Application
Rebuilt around eligibility, salary first, lifestyle second, catalogue last. Never shows a card the bank can't issue. 38% drop-off reduction; UAE PASS + live embossing preview.
